Be sure to bring your pet to the popular Breckenridge store called “The Barkery” on Main Street for a variety of dog treats and toys, or visit any number of dog-friendly Breckenridge dining establishments, including the rooftop bar of Burke and Riley’s Irish Pub, the back patio of The Motherloaded, and the deck of the Salt Creek. And don’t forget about all of the hiking trails that you and your dog can enjoy in the mountains, in addition to the designated dog park located at Carter Park in Breck.

If you need a place to board your dog while you’re skiing the slopes of Breckenridge Ski Resort or perhaps taking advantage of some Breckenridge fly fishing, check out The Dog House or D n R Kennels.

The Dog House is located conveniently on Continental Court in Breckenridge and offers doggie day care, as well as overnight stays. At The Dog House, boarding your pet is quite different than taking him or her to a large kennel facility. Throughout the day, your dog will interact with all of the canine daycare goers. Your furry friend will also participate in all daycare activities and playgroups, including walks every two hours. If a more traditional kennel facility is what you prefer for your dog, D n R Kennels is for you. D n R Kennels is situated on Highway 9 and Gold Hill Road in Breckenridge, just five miles from I-70. They are open seven days a week from 8am to 6pm and have a one-acre fenced area in which they run the dogs at least twice a day – either in groups according to their age, size, and temperament or alone, if needed.
