Labor Day in Breckenridge!
There aren’t many better ways to wrap up your Summer with a bang than to spend Labor Day weekend right here in the heart of the Rockies. Breckenridge is the ideal location for any summer getaway, offering the ultimate array of fun activities paired with milder summer temps and events galore. But, what makes this particular weekend in Breck so special?
Labor Day Weekend Highlights:
If you haven’t heard of this legendary local fundraiser, the title might sound a bit strange. Don’t let that fool you. Sponsored by Breckenridge Grand Vacations, The Summit Foundation’s Great Rubber Duck Race returns again the first weekend of September and provides a memorable experience for thousands of attendees. While you’re enjoying the party in town, making new friends, connecting with old ones and having fun in the sun, you’re also giving back to an essential Summit County nonprofit. Oh, and did we mention that you could win some REALLY cool stuff? Watch over 10,000 rubber duckies compete for unheard of prizes as they float from Maggie Pond down the Blue River to win the races!
This Art Festival is returning to Breck this weekend again. It’s kind of a big deal. Consistently ranked as one of the top fine art festivals in the nation, more than 100 artists join daily to showcase their versatile skills in Breck’s downtown area on the corner of N. Main St. and Wellington.
Another perk that comes with each season’s close is the town sidewalk sale. A ton of local businesses all over town will be slangin’ their best products at their cheapest prices from Friday to Monday. Not only will they have summer digs on sale, but their winter merch will be selling at slashed rates, too. You can browse free of charge, but it might be difficult to walk away empty handed at these prices!
Meta Yoga Studios, the oldest dedicated yoga studio in Summit County, has teamed up with Beaver Run Resort + Conference Center to host the Breckenridge Yoga Festival. All events will take place in and around Beaver Run where you will practice with incredible mountain views from the Coppertop II + III Meeting Rooms, Imperial Ballroom, Coppertop Deck and the Slopeside Lawn. Vendors will be available both inside in closely hallways to the meeting rooms and outside on the Mountain View Deck. Activities include: SUP, slack-line, aerial and acro yoga, meditations, lectures, mountain biking, hiking and more!
