Breckenridge is the epitome of all things outdoors. Our active community joins together to create a ton of different ways to get you outdoors, meet other people, and push you to your limits.

Check out some of the upcoming races, racing series and other activities that our community puts on to keep you busy and in shape during the summer.

Visiting? Don’t worry – if you are in town and want to get a taste for life in the high country – most of these races have same day registration!

Summit Mountain Challenge (information provided by Maverick Sports):

Out to look for a good time but push yourself competitively and physically? This mountain biking series is there for you to experience all of the above. With different categories for both Men, Women, and Juniors, the Summit Mountain Challenge offers different classes varying from beginner to expert.

Individual race registration is still being accepted for the following races throughout the summer for a $25/pre-registration or $30 same-day registration:

July 15 – Keystone Uphill/Downhill Double Time Trial

July 29 – Pennsylvania Gulch Grind, presented by Peak-a-Boo Toys

August 5 – Soda Creek Scramble

August 19 – Peaks Trail Time Trial, presented by Great Western Lodging

September 6 – The Fall Classic, presented by Lincoln Park at the Wellington Neighborhood

Summit Trail Running Series (information provided by the Town of Breckenridge):

This series consists of six trail races around Breckenridge. All races give runners the option for a short or long course. Races are open to runners of all abilities ages 10 and older. The series fall on Wednesday’s throughout the summer and start time is 6:00 p.m.

Individual race registration is still being accepted for the following races throughout the summer for a $22/pre-registration or $25 same-day registration:

July 8 – Baker’s Tank (4K/9K)

July 22 – Horseshoe Gulch (6K/14K)

August 12 – Carter Park (8K/14K)

August 26 – Flumes/Tom’s Baby (7K/11K)

Breck Crest – Saturday, August 29, 2015. Choose from a 10k, half marathon or marathon.

Hunky Dory Half Marathon – Saturday, August 1,, 2015. Run some of the greatest single track in Breck!

Don’t forget to check out the 4th of July events this weekend as well, especially the Firecracker 50. An iconic race that you won’t want to miss. Pro Open Men and Women waves start 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lincoln and Main Street.
