Test your endurance this 4th of July in Breckenridge at the Firecracker 50!

The Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race is a staple in Breckenridge’s 4th of July weekend festivities. The Firecracker 50 Leads the Independence Day Parade on Friday, July 4th and starts bright and early at 9:30 a.m. on Main Street. Join thousands of spectators and cheer on these riders as they start on their 50 mile expedition throughout Breckenridge’s beautiful network of trails. Top contenders are rewarded with a cash prize and the lucky first place winner in all 4 categories receives $500!

The Firecracker 50 lives on, getting bigger and bigger each year.

The Firecracker 50 is one of the first organized events on July 4th. Competitors, viewers and awesome volunteers continue to grow this event with traditions such as The Wild Turkey Challenge which, amps up contestants to jump a ramp and slug down mysterious amber liquid from a cup as they continue on their trek.

Bikers of any class are can register for the Firecracker 50. Register under Pro/Elite, Expert, Sport, Beginner or the Maverick Open 45+. With a class for everyone, you are sure to find your place! Recognizing Past Pro Champions from 2013 are Gretchen Reeves and Oliver Zurburegg.

Registration opened on April 4, 2014 and tends to fill quickly. Entry fees are as follows:

$95 for Pro/Open Solo

$85 for all other Solo categories

$140 for a 2 person team

  • Post Race Meal
  • Bike Wash
